Daily Diary Of A First Time Dad
Question: Is the business of Parenting simply a question of proper
Planning and Organising
Answer: Yes
Now I can’t be 100% sure of this as I have not actually been down this path before… but as a senior manager for the most part of my working life I have found that,
Planning & Organising
are at the heart of all
successful operations. Suffice to say, I am quietly confident…
The Plan
As with all large projects, there has to be a plan. And like all good plans, we need to break things down into bite size chunks.
Chunk 1
Seek/stumble upon someone so special… well they just redefine the meaning of the word
Chunk 2
Make sure that your ‘special someone’ earns a good living, sustainable for the two of you.
Chunk 3
Timing is everything – wait till you’re over 45yrs old (trust me)
Chunk 4
Inseminate/create
Chunk 5
Use the next nine months to research & plan.
Chunk 6
Attend the hospital for the birth, and then put the plan into action...
Now per chance you have any queries about the last ‘chunk’ to the master plan, I have decided to jot down in ‘diary form’ my own experiences… ‘as it happens’ so to speak. I suspect it will be a rather soul bearing exercise at times and I shall try not to waffle on – hopefully my précis of key events in the days of a, ‘first time stay at home dad’ will provide enough insight for you to read between the lines to get the full picture.
Project Home Management (and my
diary) will commence on day #1 of becoming a father (for the first time).
